The quartet offers jazz pieces by Pasquale Innarella structured and performed in the language of the new thinge of contemporary jazz, consequently tonal pieces, modal pieces, songs and free jazz coexist in the repertoire. The group’s sound is characterized by the timbral impasto between Innarella ‘s lumpy, textured-sounding tenor saxophone and Ettore Carucci‘s firm, harmonic piano playing. All supported by Lucrezio De Seta ‘s imaginative and timely drumming and Stefano Cantarano‘s solid and mighty double bass.
