Born in California in 1987, he began studying guitar at a very early age and was already performing as a professional at the age of seven. A genuine child prodigy, at 12 he played in the Grammy Awards ceremony. He studied classical music at the San Francisco Conservatory then jazz at “Berklee” in Boston where he had Gary Burton as a teacher. Who involves him in his own groups and becomes his true mentor. At that time the legendary Jim Hall points to him as one of the greatest talents on the guitar instrument to follow. In 2009 he recorded his first album. His highly original style escapes classification. His phrasing is constantly evolving. In 2019 he landed on the prestigious Blue Note label, the dream of his career. His latest album “View With a Room” was released last year. He is definitely one of the most interesting young guitarists to emerge on the jazz scene in the last 15 years.
