The Dario Piccioni New Trio is one of the rare examples of a “vibraphone trio” formation. On the program, music from the latest album “Hortus Del Rio” (Filibusta Records) released in the summer and from the other two previous works, new premiere compositions that will belong to the upcoming release and performance of sought-after standards from the jazz tradition. A common feature of the repertoire is the search for catchy rhythmic tempos, juxtaposed with refined and refined melodies.

Since autumn 2022, he has enjoyed the valuable collaboration of two talented musicians: vibraphonist Jordan Corda and drummer Francesco Merenda, with whom he actively collaborates in italy and abroad, and with whom he recently won first prize at the prestigious “Johnny Raducanu International Jazz Festival,” in Braila, Romania, and was the winner of the “Isio Saba 2022 Award” for innovation and creativity in jazz.
