Alf Carlsson & Jiří Kotača is a European jazz group composed of musicians from Sweden, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Alf Carlsson has composed music for Nobel Prize awards, and Jiří Kotača was the winner of the Czech jazz harvest 2020, as well as nominated for the Anděl Prize. The band is inspired by the musical traditions of their home country, revisiting them in jazz with electronic influences. The result is strong original compositions based on lyrics from Czech, Slovak and Swedish folk songs. All the band members, despite their young age, have already established themselves on the national and European scene.
